LoLa--Thanks so much for sharing this recipe. I cook brown rice at least once a week but had never tried baking it in the oven. It is delicious cooked this way, and so easy. Thanks!

Hi! One good thing that might help to know is that you really don't have to babysit a pot of rice. Just boil water, add in rice, pinch of salt (if you wish), give it a stir, put tight-fitting lid on pot, turn the burner down, and set your timer. Smiley Happy This is how I've done it for a hundred years.

If I'm going to a part of my house where I won't hear the timer I just grab a portable one and bring it with me.

Thanks for this. My brown rice is usually pretty boring (although my family loves it) - butter, salt and pepper and diced green onion. I'll have to try this.
