Have Questions About Deep Frying?

I bought the mini Cuisinart yesterday and I got it out b/c I'm anxious to use it. Now it has this label stuck to it. Should I remove it? It is right on front and not easy to take off. What oil should I use? And does anyone have any recipes they are willing to share?
