Anyone make ham loaf?  I get it at butcher shop, wish I knew the ham to pork ratio.

Hi! I've never made it, or heard of it. LOL!

But there are lots of recipes online. Try this:

Good luck!

@Mz iMac. I know that, it is ground ham and ground pork mixture. I know how to season it just not the ratio to grind my own.

What's with the snarky unhelpful statment.

Your questions/statement(s) does not make any sense.  If that is being snarky then so be it.

Ham & pork are one & the same ground up or not!

Our family has a ham loaf recipe but it is ground ham, pork and beef (1/3 equal parts) than a sauce mixture goes over it when baking. I found 1 lb. frozen ground ham, just like the frozen ground sausage at Fareway. I didn't realize they sold ham that way. It's easier to have on hand now I don't need the deli or meat counter to grind it.

One of our local stores sells ham loaf mix. One recipe I made years ago used equal parts ground ham & ground pork. When I discovered the premade mix, I stopped making my own. We have ham loaf meatballs every year  on "Ground Hog" Day.

@KathT@LUVNLIFE. Thanks I think I'll try the 50:50 mix.

@Mz iMac.  Ham is cured, pork is not. Since you have no idea what ham loaf is why comment.

Unless you are member of my "offline" family you do not know what I know!
