This is a recipe that received a lot of attention when David Venable raved about it on QVC from the cookbook, "Recipes Worth Sharing", reprinted from the Gasparilla Cookbook, The Junior League of Tampa, Florida. I'm reposting it because it seems to be perfect for those casual get togethers that happen during the holidays:

Ham-Wiches

1/3 c butter, melted
2 T prepared mustard
1 small chopped onion
1 T poppy seeds
6 hamburger buns
6 slices ham
6 slices Swiss or American cheese

Combine butter, mustard, onion, and poppy seeds. Spread on inside of hamburger buns. Place 1 slice ham and 1 slice cheese on each bun. Spread sauce on top of buns. Het inb oven on cookie sheet 15 min at 350 deg F.
