Homemade ice cream tastes great, but ends up costing lots more than storebought.

About two years ago my son stumbled upon an almost brand new Cuisinart ice cream maker at Goodwill, paid $6.00. They are constantly making strawberry ice cream and strawberry yogurt. His chocolate and vanilla were outstanding. Not sure how he does it but you can tell from how much is stomach as swelled he is good at it. Good luck I bet it will be delicious!!

I had homemade ice several times from a coworker - it was delcious
she made earl grey and coffee flavors
now i have the itch to buy an ice cream maker after opening this thread but don't know if I will use it enough to warrant the space it will take up- cost isn't so bad - looking at the basic Cruisinart model

That looks really yummy. Please post the recipe you used. Is that Strawberry?
We made some peach last year in our old fashioned ice cream maker you use the rock salt in.
We have one of the thermoelectric ice cream makers too. I like I can make a small batch of frozen yogurt & don't have to remember to freeze the insert.
I downloaded a bunch of different brand ice cream makers recipe booklet for the recipes.

Just remember when you are adding any chunks like your strawberries, add them just before the ice cream sets so they won't sink to the bottom.
