Gonna Be In Diet Trouble Today, Lol!

I haven't had anything sweet in a couple of weeks but I have to make dessert for a cookout I'm going to.

 

I'm going to make Not Yo Mama's Banana Pudding.  Talk about a diet breaker, lol.  This is Paula Deen's best recipe, IMO.  The problem is I have to make two, one to go and one to stay.  Hubby would never forgive me if I didn't make us one and I am definitely having some.

 

I hope everyone takes the time tomorrow to remember our Vets who have given their most valuable possession for us.

I have a day like that too but I'm not worried about it, it's a holiday and I am going to eat what I want.  However, I'm also a realist and   finally after 30 years of dieting, I get it.  I started eating light yesterday right after breakfast.  Lots of my home made veggie soup, fruit and whole week crackers and a small wedge of cheddar.   That's what I ate from 12noon yesterday through 12noon today.  So, when we go to our friend's house to celebrate, I'll eat what pleases me but in reasonable portions.  But I won't eat anything that has been fried.  So, when I average out my fat/simple carb/calorie intake over two days; it won't have been a diet buster.
