Hi all. I'm looking for a good recipe for a ham glaze. I tried an orange one last Thanksgiving and didn't really care for it so I'm looking for something else this year. Does anyone have a good one with cloves, brown sugar and honey?
Thanks so much for your help!

I never do ham for holidays, but I DO get a lot of terrific recipes from Recipes.com. Best of luck!

I wish I could be more help, but I don't care for honey. Mine has brown sugar, mustard, apple cider vinegar and I forgot what else (thankfully I wrote it down!). No cloves either.
Sorry

I really can not help here, but I will say that I now cook all of my hams in the pressure cooker and have used Diet Dr Pepper, could use regular, and maraschino cherry juice that has turned out very good, and not overly sweet........

I use 1 cup or so packed brown sugar, 1/2 c or so honey & a couple tbls or so prepared mustard. I don't measure the ingredients. You could always add the cloves. We like to cook ours on the grill. Sometimes DH pours maple syrup all over it.

There is a recipe at What's Cooking In America using honey, brown sugar, cloves, pineapple slices, cherries, white wine, 7Up or ginger ale. Sounds good.

Hi. Here's a recipe my Mother always used and has been a big hit in my family as well: PINEAPPLE SAUCE FOR HAM
8 ounce can crushed pineapple (Do NOT drain – include juice)
1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup vinegar
Empty pineapple into bowl. Mix brown sugar and cornstarch; add to pineapple. Stir in remaining ingredients.

Does this go on the ham and back in the oven, or only served on the side?

1/2 cup orange juice

Heat and glaze ham 1/2 hr before done
Serve glaze on side when serving ham or pour over ham before serving.
