coconut1818 - Do not boil it. You just want small bubbles. You are only putting this under the broiler to get it light brown and make it more attractive. It will not be there that long.

I made this and it was delicious!!!! I used frozen corn cause that's what I had. I think it might even be good with chopped jalapeno, maybe some cilantro and a sprinkling of chili powder. We loved it, thanks for sharing.

gulf coast girl - Glad you liked this. That is what I do when I find an interesting recipe - make it as written the first time and then make changes to what I and my family enjoy. Your ideas sound good!

I made this for dinner tonight with a skinless chicken breast and a tossed green salad. DH and I agreed that this was a winner! Thanks for sharing the recipe. It was well worth it. BTW, since I had fresh picked corn on the cob, I didn't even need to add the pinch of sugar. It was sweet enough from the corn itself. Mmm...Mmm...good! {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

Glad you enjoyed it. Not exactly "health food" with that cup of whipping cream but well worth it once in a while!!

I remember their spinach! I used to live in Newport Beach but have lived in the Seattle area for almost 25-years! I am surprised the restaurant is still there.
