I have just made the grape salad that I have seen posted here on occasion, however, I have a question..........Do you stir the salad with the topping before serving, or just leave the brown sugar and nuts on top........Sad to say, I over chopped my walnuts..BUT....I have a new Ninja on the way.............{#emotions_dlg.w00t} Thanks for any help....{#emotions_dlg.wub}

I did not stir the topping into the salad, think it would be ok, either way.

I don't remember who posted this recipe, (sorry) but wanted to let them know it was a huge hit at my family reunion last weekend. Have had several requests for the recipe. Thank you so much for posting it.

I posted this on the old board, but there were others who did as well.  According to my recipe, the nuts are to be finely chopped and mixed with brown sugar.  That mixture gets sprinkled over the top of the grape and sauce mixture.  Chill and serve as is, do not mix the nut mixture into the rest of the salad.

Hey, forrestwolf, glad to see you've jumped into the murky waters of the new Forum.  Too many favorite posters haven't ventured back yet.  Hope you're doing well.  I've had this grape salad at church potlucks and have always seen it served with the brown sugar mixture on top -- kind of like the sweet potato casserole with crunchy topping.  All the best,  HB
