Frozen veggies in the air fryer

I tried this for the first time this week using Kirkland stir fry veggies.  It was ok, not great.

What do you use to spice up your veggies?  How long do you cook them?  TIA.

Re: Frozen veggies in the air fryer

I have cooked frozen french fries in the air fryer that are amazing but not other frozen veg---not into the frozen veg thing except the greens which I use in my smoothies---I prefer fresh vegs mostly and they are great in the airfryer as well.

@Lilysmom1

  When I cook veggies in the airfryer or stove I cook them a little longer so that they kinda crisp up and caramelize a little. Also I like to spinkle a little parmasan cheese on them before cooking...

Re: Frozen veggies in the air fryer

I thaw the frozen veggies first (usually broccoli, cauliflower and carrots mixed).  Preheat the air fryer before adding, and my seasoning is usually garlic salt, onion powder and Cajun seasoning for a little heat.  Time can be anywhere from 15-20 minutes depending on how much I'm cooking, but we like them cooked on the very well side.

I use my Breville toaster oven and bake at 400 degrees for 20+ minutes.

I cook from frozen.  I put them in a Ziplock bag with EVOO, salt, garlic pepper and thyme.  Close bag and "mush" til all are well coated.   Cook to desired doneness!

@jackthebear That is my experience so far too.  I think there is a way though so I am going to keep trying!

Re: Frozen veggies in the air fryer

@Zhills @RedTop @GingerHead Your comments make me think I am not cooking them long enough.

My experience with meat, roasts etc is that recommended times are too long.  I use my meat thermometer and that is my guide on doneness.  It works great.  Now I am trying to master the veggie side.  I am a 15 minute drive to grocery stores so frozen veggies is a good option for me occasionally.  My brother loves the Kirkland frozen stir fry veggies so that is what I used.

I like the ziplock bag idea and the suggested spices.  Thanks for that.

@RedTop I like the well done side as well.  I never thought to thaw them.  It doesn't make them mushy?
