I remember my mother making this when I was growing up.I had forgot about it until I found it in a magazine.

Frozen Fruit Salad

1 sm box of strawberry jello

dash of salt

1 cup boiling water

1/2 cup lemon juice

1 ( 8-oz ) can pineapple tidbits,drained,juice reserved

1/3 cup mayo

1 banana,diced

1 cup heavy whipping cream well chilled

1/2 cup seedless halved green or red grapes

1/2 cup chopped pecans

1/4 cup diced maraschino cherries

Combine gelation & salt and dissolve in the boiling water.If necessary,add water to the reserved pineapple juice to make a 1/2 cup.Stir pineapple juice & lemon juice into the dissolved jello.Fold in mayo.Chill mixture until very thick.

Whip the cream until light & thick.Fold pineapple tibits,banana,grapes,cherries,pecans,and the whipped cream into thicken gelation mixture.Pour into a 9x5x3 loaf pan that has been lined with plastic wrap.Freeze until firm,about 4 hours.To serve unmold and cut in slices.
