Fresh Tomato and Basil Pizza

Fresh Tomato and Basil Pizza

I love making this when we have tomatoes and basil from the garden.

I just use a store bought pizza crust. I like the thin kind. I have never made my own crust but that would even make it better!

I first brush olive oil on the pre made crust.

Then season crust with a little garlic powder, salt, pepper and dried oregano.

Next, thinly slice tomatoes and place on crust.

Chop or tear some fresh basil and sprinkle it on top of tomatoes.

Sprinkle with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and mozzarella cheese.

Bake until cheese is melted and lightly browned.

I bake according to the directions on the pizza crust package.

I drizzle a little olive oil on it when it comes out of the oven.

I had some left over seasoned chicken that I added to the pizza in the photos, but I like it best without. I have also made this with dried basil and it’s good too!
