FRESH STRAWBERRY PIE

In large sauce pan, combine 3 Tablespoons cornstarch & 1/2 cup sugar and add 1/4 cup water, mix well. Add 2 cups mashed fresh strawberries and cook stirring constantly until thick and clear. Stir in 1/4 cup sugar and 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice and add 2 additional cups of sliced fresh berries. Chill. Pour in baked pie crust & top with whipped cream.
