Can I wash the parsley put them in freezer bags and freeze them?  I've seen them frozen in ice cube trays but would rather freeze them whole.

Yes you can freeze it this way, but the parley is likely to turn dark and you'll lose the bright green color. Hence I'd probably stick to freezing it into an ice cube. You can either throw the ice cube into the soup or whatever you're cooking or let the cube melt on a paper towel and then use the remaining parsley.

Funny...I mentioned washing/drying/chopping and freezing the parsley in ziploc baggies or one bigger bag to @sweetee2 a couple of hours ago!

Yes I grow parsley every summer and I freeze it for the winter.  This is what works for me...I just snip off bunches and put them in a zip lock bag.  I roll as much air out of the bag as possible.  Then I put all the bags in a lock and lock.  The leaves stay green .  When I cook I just take out what I need and snip them frozen into my receipes.  I do the same for my fresh basil.
