For fresh bread makers....can be very easy

1 cup of water

2 tbs salad oil

1 1/2 cups all purpose flour

1 pkg yeast

1 tbs sugar

1 tsp salt

1 1/2 -cups all purpose flour

HERB BUTTER

1/4 cup soft butter

1 tsp garlic powder

2 Tbs parsley flakes and/or freeze dried chives

1 tsp seasoned salt

Your favorite toppings, chopped ham, pepperoni, mushrooms, jalapeno or green peppers, your favorite cheese or cheese blend, olives (black and/or green chopped)

Warm oil, and combine 1 1/2 cups flour, yeast, salt, sugar. Mix in mixer with dough hook, , and add 1 1/2 cups flour and continue by hand, or mixer for 6 minutes. Place in greased bowl, cover, and let rise until double in bulk, about an hour. Punch down, and roll out into a 15x18 rectangle. Spread with herb butter to within 1" of edges. Add extra ingredients, or not, and roll up jelly roll style, pinch edge to seal. Place on baking sheet, or stone. Slash top diagonally several times. Cover and let rise until double, about 1 hour. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes, reduce heat to 350 degrees, and continue to bake for 20-25 mnutes.

This is great served hot, with your favorite dipping sauce, or at room temp with sauce, or not. It is great on it's own, either way.
