I love doing Bundt cakes. I did my first back in the early '80's. Mom always did layers so I thought I had to do that as well. But when I discovered Bundt I never looked back. The cake is to pretty to eat.
You did very well.

pistachio cake sounds amazing....
do you ground up the nuts and sprinkle throughout the cake?
and maybe coarse chop for a center streusel?
I love pistachio gelato - i know it isn't the saem thing....
It's my MIL's recipe. Consists of yellow cake mix (box), box pistacchio pudding, walnuts, club oda, heavy cream and powdered sugar. Let me know if you want the recipe.
yes pls
Sure thing! I don't know where or who she got this recipe from. She's been making it since the 1960's.
Pistacchio Cake:
1 box yellow cake mix ( I use Duncan Hines)
1 box instant pistacchio pudding
1/2 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs
1/2 cup walnuts (optional)
1 cup club soda
*Bake at instructions on cak mix for bundt pan
Pistacchio Icing:
1 box instant pistacchio pudding
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1/2 pint heavy cream
*My MIL kept this cake in the fridge, so I did too. Enjoy!

Several years ago I purchased a rather pricey cast iron bundt pan (Lodge). To justify my purchase, I started baking bundt cakes. . .for family/friend birthdays, parties, covered dish dinners and even charity auctions. Antique cast iron bundt pans are quite collectible/valuable. Bundt cakes are especially moist, travel well and will serve a crowd. They can be baked in a variety of flavors and are always a welcomed dessert!

I love to do bundt cakes and put ½ of a frosting container in the middle of the cake prior to baking. The best one was the German chocolate cake frosting in the middle and drizzling on the top.

the frosting doesnt ooze into the cake itself?

No it does not just make sure it does not touch the sides of cake, keep in middle and pour the remaining cake batter on top. Kind of like the 1970's Tunnel of Fudge Bundt cake that Pillsbury made for years.

Your pan makes a very pretty cake. Nordic ware has made many pretty designs over the years. I have been thinking about getting the one that makes harvest designs...like acorns and pumpkins...I have used my original bundt pan for decades...it's vintage avocado green. Would never part with it.
