Re: First but not my last Bundt

@Yahooey   It's stunning, but it looks hard to cut nice servings, but your recipe and plate are besutiful.  One thing I never bought, was a cake plate or cake stand.

Re: First but not my last Bundt

Growing up my Mom would make bundt cakes often, My Dad liked them a lot.  Though she used the bundt cake box stuff.  I have my mom's bundt pans (2).  I use them for pistachio cake but I don't make it as often as I used to.  Thanks for posting.  Bought back some nice memories.

Re: First but not my last Bundt

I had many bundt pans in many shapes and I used to bake up boozy bundt cakes for my son to give to his bosses and friends around Xmas time.I sold most of them years ago but kept a few---bought a really cute rectangle bundt pan that has pumpkins and vines on it for the fall and one with apples too. Will use them for breads I think, or even cakes too.

pistachio cake sounds amazing....

do you ground up the nuts and sprinkle throughout the cake?

and maybe coarse chop for a center streusel?

I love pistachio gelato - i know it isn't the saem thing....

It's my MIL's recipe.  Consists of yellow cake mix (box), box pistacchio pudding, walnuts, club oda, heavy cream and powdered sugar.  Let me know if you want the recipe.
