Re: Easy Apple Cake

[ Edited ]

@Ainhisg  I just took it out of the fridge, cut the butter into pieces, and put it on the bottom of the pan.  Maybe someone else who has made it has done it a different way.  Anyone?

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!

I just made this for our dessert tonight.   It was obvious to me the 1 T of butter was meant to be melted to moisten the brown sugar topping.

I made the topping minus the 1 T of butter, but after sprinkling the topping on, I dotted the top of the cake with enough butter slices to please me, and then baked.

Thank you; it looks good - and easy!  Would it be bad if I left the walnuts out?  I don't like nuts in baked goods.

@SXMGirl

This looks yummy!  When the cake is cut are the apples cooked through, and don't crunch please?

@ECBG

You're using canned apple pie filling, the apples are already soft.

Nuts are a personal preference; they don't make or break this recipe.
