If you are looking for an easy and delicious dessert, try this.

1 box yellow cake mix (I used Duncan Hines)

3 eggs

1 21-oz can apple pie filling

3/4 cup packed brown sugar

1 T flour

1 tsp cinnamon

1 T butter

1 cup chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 350.  Grease and flour a 9x12 baking pan (I used spray and then dotted pieces of butter on the bottom of the pan).

Mix together cake mix, eggs, and apple pie filling.  Pour into prepared pan.

In a separate bowl, mix the brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, butter, and walnuts.  Sprinkle on top of the batter (it will cover the entire batter).

Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, until a toothpick placed in the center comes out clean (mine was done in 30 minutes).  Allow to cool.

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!

@SXMGirl @Thanks. This sounds delicious. I copied it to my notes.  I wonder I how it would work if baked in a bundt or angel food pan.

@SXMGirl Thank you for the recipe, it looks delicious.  We don't eat a lot of dessert at once so I'll make it in a silicone muffin pan and freeze what we don't immediately eat.  It'll be an experiment lol!

@SXMGirl This sounds yummy to the tummy!  I am going to make one for Thanksgiving as my husband and I do not eat pumpkin.

@Boomernichols  We are not pumpkin fans either, and DH said that he would like this of Thanksgiving dessert.  Works for me.  Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
