Do you have a great recipe with pudding in it? I'd have to remember what mine was first.

[ Edited ]

I've got so many recipes, and haven't had it for awhile.  I'll need to find it. My husband remembered.  It was butterscotch cupcakes from the Ninja cookbook.  They are to die for!  Really are good though.

If you have one that is well received please include it here.

You could also switch out flavors of the pudding and the candy bars to create different flavors and obviously colors. I have wanted to try making it with butterscotch and butterfingers and see how that tastes.

I know this recipe has other names but this is what we call it.

1 1/4 c chopped nuts
1 c flour
8 oz cream cheese
1 c powdered sugar
2 8 oz containers cool whip
3 c milk
1 small box instant chocolate pudding
1 small box instant vanilla pudding

Preheat oven 350°
Combine butter, 1 cup chopped nuts & flour. Press into bottom of 13x9 pan.
Bake 20-25 mins. until golden brown.
Let cool.
Combine cream cheese & powdered sugar & 1 8 oz container of cool whip.
Spread on crust when cooled.
Combine milk, chocolate & vanilla pudding. Beat 2 mins.
Spread on second layer.
Top with other 8 oz container of cool whip.
Sprinkle with remaining 1/4 c chopped nuts.
Keep Refrigerated.

What do you mean by Pat these together??? Can you melt the butter in the 13 x 9 pan & lay the ritz crackers on top?

Watergate Salad (really a dessert)

1 can (20 oz.) crushed pineapple in juice, undrained.
1 pkg. ( 3.4 oz.) Pistachio Flavor Instant Pudding.
1 cup Miniature Marshmallows.
1-1/2 cups thawed COOL WHIP.

In a large bowl combine first 4 ingredients.

Fold in cool whip.

Chill and serve.

Here's one I make that gets gobbled down fast so I usually make a double.  It's a punchbowl cake.  You can use any kind of cake,  pudding and alcohol.  I like either a yellow cake or chocolate cake.  You break or cut the cake in about 3 inch pieces in a punch bowl and pour kahlua or mud slide alcohol over and toss to soak (as much or as little as you want).  You then make instant pudding (both chocolate or vanilla work with this) and spread it over the cake.  Cover with cool whip and you can add any garnish you want on top.  I like toasted coconut on the kind I mentioned.  I have also made it with rum, honey whiskey and different kinds of cake.  The longer it sits in the refrigerator the more tasty it gets.

You have to crush the crackers into mixing bowl and add the soft butter and work them together with your hands. I use gloves because it gets so greasy and hard to wash that off your hands. You really can't use a spoon of any kind you just have to get in there w/ your hands like you do with dough.

It has to be mixed together and then spread into the cake pan. Don't fret if you see little bare spots like you don't have enough to cover the bottom of the pan... it comes out of the oven perfect.
