Entertaining season is on us. Football season, leading in to the holidays. I thought it would be nice to share some party foods.
This is always popular at my house, for parties and holiday meal appetizers.
1 16oz carton of sour cream and chive dip
16oz of mayonaise
1/2 medium onion, finely minced
3 tbls of dill seed
1 whole (un-sliced) pumpernickel bread
Mix the mayo and the sour cream and chive dip well. I just dump the dip and then fill the container with mayo to measure. Mix in the onion and the dill seed. Cover and refrigerate for at least 8 hours, better overnight.
Right before serving, cut the center out of the bread to form a ring. Fill the ring with dip and make large cubes out of the center for dipping. Put out fresh veggies, celery, carrots, whatever you like for dipping also. Great too with a sturdy rippled chip, like Wavy Lays.
What's your party food recipe?
