I had made this pound cake for many years and for some reason just forgot about it. When going through recipes the other day, I found it. As I am typing this, the cake is baking in the oven and the kitchen smells so good!

Delicious Pound Cake

1 cup butter

1 cup butter flavored Crisco

3 cups sugar

6 eggs, at room temperature

1 tsp. butter flavoring

1 tsp. vanilla flavoring

1 tsp. orange flavoring

½ tsp. lemon flavoring

½ tsp. almond flavoring

¾ c. milk

4 cups flour

Cream margarine, Crisco, and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Add flavorings and mix well. Add flour alternately with milk, mixing slowly. Put in greased 10 inch tube pan (angel food cake pan) or bundt cake pan. Bake at 325° for 10 minutes; reduce temperature to 300° and bake 1 hour and 30 minutes longer, or until it tests done. Let cool in pan—do not invert pan.

Yield: 15-20 servings.

I mix some type of fresh berries (strawberries, raspberries, or blueberries) with a minimal amount of sugar and serve it with a slice of this cake and a dollop of whipped cream or Cool Whip. Delicious!!
