I had to use some of that in a recipe the other day.  I couldn't remember using it before.  So I had to sniff it.  How wonderful that was.  I'll have to find more uses for it.

Do you have a spice that you have come to really like the smell of &/or taste of?

I also really like Cumin.  Smoked Paprika is something I like.  The other day I roasted some Cauliflower and added it.  It really bumped it up a notch!  I lightly coated with Extra Virgon Oil, Garlic Powder, Italian Seasoning, S&P, Sweet Basil, Parm Cheese and the Smoked Paprika.  Oops, forget the dried Shallots (should have added them mid-way, they got too crispy.)

I think I love all spices!!

Coriander is a favorite. I always put both coriander and cumin in our pasta sauce.

Just to think of how highly prized these were way back when, so much so, that they made spice chests with locks on them!

My favorite spice is cardamom. It has a nice "fresh" smell and taste. I use it mainly in baking but have sprinkled it in when making pancakes, on top of muffins, in our coffee when it is brewing, in rice and mixed in with yogurt!! The possibilities are endless!!

If you look at the container for "chili powder mixes", or buy the mixed spices container for chili, cumin is included.

I love cumin, I love it in my homemade butternut squash soup. Yum.

Cumin is the most used spice in my house.  Love the smoky taste.  I also like smoked paprika and certain curries.

Tarragon, especially on a roasted chicken or in chicken salad.
