Creamed Peas over Cauliflower

If anyone is looking for something different to serve as a side with your Christmas dinner, this is DELICIOUS! You can jazz up the cream sauce with just about any spices you want. If you want more cream sauce, less peas, use only 1 package of peas. If you want more peas and less cream sauce, use 2 packages of peas.

Creamed Peas over Cauliflower

1 head of Cauliflower

1 or 2 (10) ounce packages of frozen peas

2 tablespoons butter

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 Cup Milk

½ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon pepper

½ teaspoon of onion powder

¼ teaspoon garlic powder

2 teaspoons sugar

1. Cook your head of Cauliflower however you normally do it. I steam mine.

2. Cook peas according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, melt the butter. Stir in the flour, salt, and pepper until well blended. Let bubble for 2 minutes; gradually add milk and sugar. Bring to a boil and stir until thickened. Drain peas; stir into the sauce.

3. Put cauliflower in deep serving bowl, pour creamed peas over the top.

6-8 servings.
