Cookbook recommendations for newlyweds?

Can anyone recommend a good cookbook for newlyweds - neither the bride nor groom really cook. (They eat out too much). TIA!

Do either one of them really want a cook book or to learn how to cook?  If not, the book will probably gather dust on a shelf somwhere.

I did away with my cookbooks years ago.  Any recipe I may want can be found on the internet.

I'd get them a crockpot with an auto timer and a crockpot cook book.

The Fannie Farmer Cookbook is a perfect gift.  I got one when I was was married 46 years ago.  It has everything in it...even how to boil water.

I have given many of these Cookbooks as gifts too.

I still use mine for reference.  It has basic and more complicated recipes with plenty of how to information.

@cimeranrose   The Joy of Cooking--It is a great resource for me and is my most consulted.  Have owned and used it since the mid seventies when I got married straight from college graduation.
