I don't think David actually made these on air but he did show them.  They are deviled eggs that have been dyed.  He said they did it with food coloring but I didn't hear the entire story.

 

I tried to make them for Easter with food coloring and I added some vinegar to the coloring.  They turned out just OK but I didn't like the way the white of the egg looked.

 

Does anyone know how he did this?  Thanks.

Nope, I like deviled eggs with white yolks only. That pic did not look appealing at all. Just my opinion.

Really cute. Will have to try. They could probly be made for any occassion, depending on the holiday. Really like.

Cute, but wouldn't they stain your teeth?  Fun at a party anyway.

They might be something fun to do with young kids, but they don't look appetizing to me either.  BTW, the yolk is the yellow part of the egg.
