Just saw this mentioned on another thread, got me to wondering! When I was young you could go to your market and get a pack of "city chicken" along with the skewers. Years go by and the only place I could find this was from a friend of mine,,,,her dad happened to own a butcher shop,,,,in Pa. I might add. Now today to do this, you'd need chunks of beef, pork and veal. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ any other ideas of a way to make this a bit cheaper. LOVE veal, and never buy it $$$$$. any help?
