My hairdresser was telling me yesterday that she likes to toast Cinnamon Raisin English Muffins and spread them with cinnamon butter. She buys the cinnamon butter in a carton from the refrigerated section that holds regular butter. I thought that sounded like something delicious to fix while our grandson is with us. He went to the store with me, but we found no cinnamon butter. However, I found out he loves French toast made with "Sunmaid Raisin Bread Cinnamon Swirl". He's quite specific that delightful kid. So, we made French toast and slathered it with cinnamon butter made at home and a drop or two of real maple syrup. Very tasty!

Cinnamon Butter

1 stick butter*
1/4 c honey
1/4 c powdered sugar
1 t ground cinnamon

In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the whisk attachment, beat the butter for 30 seconds, or until pale in color. Add the powdered sugar, honey, and cinnamon and beat until well combined, light, and fluffy, about 1 to 2 minutes. Serve immediately or store, covered, in the fridge for up to 5 days. Bring to room temperature before serving.
*If using unsalted butter, add a pinch of salt to the cinnamon butter mixture.
This is nice served on hot rolls, also.

Thank you Beebee. I love cinnamon butter on hot bread/rolls. I copied & pasted this!

I have done this using maple syrup and brown sugar instead of honey and white sugar. I will have to try this. Thanks.

I usually make my own flavored butters for the holidays.

My fave is cinnamon/honey just like they serve you at the steakhouse. I've done garlic/chive as well for pasta nite.

It was a ""duh"" moment when I realized I could make them at home.

I'm kind of a minimalist.

I just sprinkle cinnamon from Penzey's on my English muffin...sometimes with some almond or peanut butter.

I LOVE Penzey's cinnamon....it's very fresh & flavorful.

This!

My son, 14, loves the cinnamon and sugar blends from Penzeys.

I have to start another Penzeys thread!

Get your flu shot...because I didn't.
