If I wanted to spice up this punch for adults what would be the best ingredients to add?

Re: Christmas Eve Punch Recipe

Depends on what recipe you are using.  I don't see your punch recipe.

Hello,  Welcome to the forums.

Your punch recipe didn't show up, so people may be waiting to see it before they give suggestions.

When you mention "spice up for adults" are you talking about "adding something for flavor" or adding "a type of alcohol"?

These two recipes were posted a while back, but here they are again.  You can  figure out how to use the same ingredients in a smaller quantity if necessary.  I used to make this for huge office parties, and like most people have said, the second one is better..

Whiskey Sour Punch--4 quarts or 32 half-cup servings

1 small orange

3 6-oz. cans frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed

3 cups orange juice

1 fifth-sized bottle of rye, bourbon or Scotch whisky, chilled

1 32-oz. bottle of club soda, chilled

2 trays of ice cubes (or bagged ice)

Prepare garnish of orange slices to float in the punch.  (I also always added a  jar of maraschino cherries to the punch bowl)

In punch bowl, combined undiluted lemonade and remaining ingredients; mix well.

Makes 16 cups (4 quarts) or thirty-two 1/2-cup servings.

______________

Open House Punch--3 quarts

2-1/2 cups bourbon

1 (6-oz.) can frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed and

    undiluted

2 (6-oz.) cans frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed and

    undiluted

2/3 cup lemon juice

7 (10-oz.) bottles lemon-lime carbonated beverage  (such

     as Sprite or 7-UP), chilled

Lemon slices and mint for garnish. (I add maraschino cherries

and float orange slices in the bowl, too)

Combine bourbon, orange juice, lemonade, and lemon juice; stir well.  Add carbonated beverage and ice cubes.  LOTS OF ICE!!  It needs dilution.

YIELD:  3 quarts

Christmas Eve Punch

1 32 oz bottle cranberry juice cocktail

1 46 oz can pineapple juice unsweetened

2 cups orange juice

1 1 liter bottle ginger ale

combine first three juices, chil, add ginger ale just before serving

I have added vodka to this, vodka and a little Amaretto, and once added white rum..it's good!

Re: Christmas Eve Punch Recipe

Welcome to the forums SHOPSALOT.For the kids I make the Hawaiian Punch with 7-up and orange sherbet. Adults and kids love it. But anyway sometimes adding champagne spices up a punch.
