Chocolate explosion cake

1 box choc cake mix
1/2 cup premium choc milk
1/3 cup melted butter
3 eggs
1 16oz sour cream
1 small pkg choc instant pudding mix
1 bag semi sweet choc chips

preheat oven to 350 degrees

Gently mix milk, butter, eggs and sour cream until eggs are incorporated. Add dry cake and pudding mix. Mix until well blended. Batter will be very thick. Fold in chips. Spoon into pans. 9x13 or 2 rounds

Bake 55-65 minutes or until the top springs back ( toothpick will not be totally clean with this cake ) cool.

Frost with chocolate buttercream~

1/2 cup crisco
1/2 cup butter
1 tsp vanilla
4 cups pwd sugar
2 tbsp milk


to make it chocolate:
add 1/2 cup to 3/4 cup cocoa
add and additional 1-2 tbsp milk.
mix until well blended and fluffy.

cream butter and crisco. Add vanilla. Gradually add pwd sugar 1 cup at a time. Add milk and beat till fluffy.

Can also top with chocolate ganache!!
