The aroma that fills the kitchen when these are baking makes is SO good, it makes everyone anxious for them to hit the table.

I've been making these for years and they never disappoint.......

CHEESE-A-ROUNDS
(Source: Heart and Soul-recipes from family and friends of the United Church of Shirley cookbook-recipe from my Mom)

1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 c. mayonnaise
1/4 c. finely chopped red onion (you can substitute finely chopped sweet onion or green onion)
White bread (I’ve used slices of French bread-the long loaf-for this-just cut them in half and spread the filling on)

Combine cheese, mayonnaise and onion; mix well.

Spread about 1 tsp. (or a little more-depends on the size of the slice of bread) on bread slices that have been cut into quarters (or use a small round cookie cutter or small biscuit cutter to cut circles).

Place on cookie sheets; bake @ 350 degrees until lightly browned and bubbly.
