@ECBG.  I never make salad dressings but isn't that a basic Caesar dressing?  Sounds good.

@Kachina624Hello Luv, Caesar's has anchovy paste.  The best I've ever had was at Red Lobster, whom will, sell you about 1 1/4 container for $4-$5.

I can tell the difference.

From Copy Cat Recipes:

Red Lobster Caesar Dressing

ingredients

3/4 cup bottled Italian salad dressing  (I would use Paul Newmans)
1 tablespoon finely grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon sugar
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1 teaspoon anchovy paste or soy sauce

directions

Combine all the ingredients and whisk well to mix. Place in a covered container and refrigerate for 5-6 hours or overnight before using.

Store leftovers in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

@ECBG.  Similar.  I didn't know about the anchovies (yuck).  I love Red Lobster's Caesar and always order it when I eat there.  I'm going to keep your recipes.

This recipe looks great - thanks! There is nothing like home made salad dressings, and they're almost always so easy!

Ceaser salad - calls for raw egg - the first in the mixing bowl - then additions including the anchovy paste - cheese, etc.   It is delicious but discouraged now in using egg raw.

@Kachina624Why Sweety?  You loved it.  It's just fish.  My son is the same way.  What's the "ick" factor when we (on my side) all eat fish?

@ECBG.  I'm not a fish lover unless it's king crab, lobster or coconut shrimp.  I don't want anything "fishy".

The dressing calls for anchovy PASTE, NOT anchovies. It adds a GREAT flavor and some saltiness to salad dressing.
