I hope someone here can help me out. While living overseas, we would go to an Italian place and I always ordered a dish that was called something like Pasta Asio Aiga. I am sure that is not the correct spelling at all. I do know it was two words.
The pasta, spaghetti, was served with an olive oil sauce that had garlic, red pepper flakes and maybe something else. There were no tomatoes in it. I can not for the life of me find any recipe that comes close to this. I do know it was a common dish in Italy and you would see it in a lot of restaurants.
Hopefully someone can help me. Sorry for the terrible description. I do know that the server told me over and over again that it was a very simple sauce. It was delicious.
Thanks for any help you can give me.
Vicki
