Ha ha. This old man may finally put some meat on his daughters bones if I hang out here often. First, I am going to have to learn to enjoy cooking. ![]()
My daughters stay too busy to cook. I am lucky to see them a few hours a day.
Thanks for the nice invite to visit and learn here. Crock Pot books at check out counters are all owned by me I think.

Moroco, thanks for the tip and no, I haven't heard of this nor tried it but will now.
I do make a pot roast in the slow cooking with potatoes, onions and carrots but have always used cream of mushroom soup but will now try your can of beer for the liquid.
thanks again for the tip.
welcome to the boards and am sure everyone loves a new tip or two even though at some time we may have known them but forget. We all like to learn new things.
I too love the crockpot.

I don't like the taste of beer but have used it in the crockpot and it is good so thanks for the reminder. I was watching a Trisha Yearwood show where she poured in a bottle of Guiness stout to make a pot roast and it looked and sounded so good. I bought a bottle of Guiness but that was a little too strong for me but I do like using a regular beer.
