Thanks for this recipe. Tomato Basil soup is one of my DH's favorites and fall is the time of year I make lots of different soups. I have cut and pasted in to my recipe file.

DHs mother used to make homemade tomato soup and nearly always served it with toasted cheese sandwiches. I have tried to duplicate her recipe but it never turned out the same as hers.

I made this soup today as I was off from work and it was delicious. The only thing that I did different was that I did not use as much basil but it was still very good. The family loved it so I will make it again. Thank you for posting such a great recipe.
