Different take on carrots.....
4 T butter
1 pound carrots, thinly sliced
1 t sugar
1/2 t salt
1/4 cup Marsala
Melt butter in a med pan and add the carrots. Stir well to coat with butter. Add sugar and salt - Mix well. Stir in Marsala and simmer 4-5 minutes. Pour in enough water to barely cover the carrots. Cover pan and cook over low heat until carrots are tender. Remove cover and cook until the liquids reduce almost completely.
How long this takes depends on how thin the carrots are cut.
