Need advice. I just received a new slo cooker (5 qt) which I love because I can also brown in it on the stovetop. However, I'm used to my "old" 4 qt. I'm finding that recipe cook times are more adapted to the 4 qt. and I've actually overcooked several recipes, causing sticking and sometimes minor burning. I've found it especially true when using BBQ sauce, brown sugar or honey. Some recipes note that recipes can be doubled for the 5 qt, however, I don't always want to cook that much. Is there some formula to reduce the cook time (both low and high) to prevent this problem? Any advice would be appreciated.
