and a Tablespoon of butter with heaping spoon of brown sugar and melt.

that is exactly how I made it.i also think you could mix in squash with mashed potatoes.that would be tasty with chicken

Roasted squash, olive oil, salt, pepper, fresh rosemary and toss with feta. Great cold or hot. Can also add the above to chicken or veg stock and puree to make squash soup. Mmmmm.

I love squash however my favorite is Acorn squash.  I bake it with butter, brown sugar and a little maple syrup.  So good!  It's not Thanksgiving without it.

I was given a large one recently, and I peeled it, and cut it into chunks, and tossed it in the slow cooker with my Pot Roast...

Along with the usual celery, onions, carrots, and potatoes - It was delish!
