Cool here , Yay !   Had a yearning for piece of homemade bread didn't want to turn on the oven and build up heat before I turn on the A/C, so, whipped out the Cuisinart bread machine and put it to work.

Using a recipe from King Arthur for basic white bread. Be glad when I can go back to cooking in the late fall and winter. Getting tired of sandwiches and homemade ice cream. Not that big on ice cream in first place. Hubbo, loves it though.

Ok EVERYBODY!!!@sharke has a need to make homemade bread: is that possibly a sign of an early Autumn???

I have thought about my next knitting project, but I haven't felt the urge to pick up the needles....

Our Border Collie seems to be going through an early shed....

Ok Home Forecasters, what kind of a winter are we going to have?

I think it's a sign.  I'm trying to figure out how I can safely do puzzles again.  My dog is too much help. She jumps up onto chairs like they're nothing.

LOL   my fav food is homemade bread whether it's machine or old fashion way. Rolls, too, etc.   I'm known as the bread lady at church LOL I hand out bags to the people who put in requests .

I bought somebody else's when we went to a Community Market last week end. That stuff was horrible ! I threw in trash wasn't fit for a worm. Tasted bland, had no salt, sugar, butter in it. Think they mixed up a bowl of flour and added water.

Like everything else I 'm getting so where I just prefer my own cooking over what you get out.

@Poodlepet2  You live in Florida and you are asking that question?

Everything we have experienced the last few years has been a "new record."  Your guess would be as good as mine.

I just hope we have a cool Winter.  I am sick and tired of the rain and July is usually a dry month?

I really would like to see a short freeze.  Get rid of some of the pesty grasses and bugs!  I said short!

Yum! that bread sounds good.

Its cool here too, and I saw on the weather that the extended forecast for us is cooler than usual. It would be wonderful if we could have an early fall.

When it is almost lunch time here in Texas in the month of August and only 73 deg. plus intermittent rain it is time to pull out the winter foods.  Tomorrow may be snowcones and fudge pops.  Homemade bread sounds so good.

@SharkE, that is one beautiful loaf of bread you made! Just seeing that makes me want to put my fluffy PJ's on, and turn on the fake fire place!

Thanks for the eye candy!!!

@Zhills, my blood has thinned! !!! But let's face it, it can get chilly here. The only place that seems to be reliably warm year round are the Keys!

We have a weekend place on the north end of Pine Island and during the summer, it's delightful when those breezes blow off the Peace River. During the winter? Let's just say that I am glad I didn't donate or give my parka away when we came South!

Hugs,
