I was watching the Food Network this a.m. and the host was making Blondies. She also made another recipe, but I wasn't sure of her ingredients for that, so didn't want to try her Blondies. I have never made these but would love to give them a try. Anyone have a great recipe for Blondies?

2 cups flour

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp baking soda

10 tbsp melted butter

2 cups brown sugar

2 eggs

2 tsp vanilla

3/4 cup chocolate chips

3/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

Mix butter and brown sugar in bowl.  Mix in eggs and vanilla.  Stir in flour, baking powder and soda, and salt.

Spread in 9"X13" foil-lined and greased baking pan.  Sprinkle chocolate chips and nuts over batter.  Bake in 350 degree oven for 25-30 minutes.

I like butterscotch chips rather than chocolate as another variation.

@PhotoQueen  - that was Girl Meets Farm.  We were watching it too and I said to my husband, I have never had a blondie.  For some reason they don't appeal to me.

We called them "Blonde Brownies".  Just a chocolate chip cookie bar and they are delicious.

@CelticCrafter

I just happened across her show one Saturday.  She makes wonderful recipes.  And to think I say my galley kitchen is too small yet hers is tiny & she certainly is well organized and everything she makes looks yummy🙂

I haven't made blondies since my boys were teenagers.  After seeing her make them I think I'll make hem soon!
