I hope this doesn't seem like a strange question, but is it possible to blanche vegetables by placing the vegetables in a ziploc bag and then dropping the bag of vegetables into boiling water for 3 minutes and then into an ice bath. I usually blanche them in a pot of boiling water, however, I have them all stored in ziploc bags and I'm trying to save myself some time. I would appreciate any thoughts on this.
