for lavendersage. people tell me this is the best taco dip they have ever tasted. i think it's the seasoned beef on the bottom and the addition of the drizzled taco sauce that make it special.

1 lb. ground beef (prepared as if making taco's w/1 packet of taco seasoning mix - allow to cool to room temp)

1 8 oz. brick of cream cheese (softened) w/1 packet of taco seasoning mixed in

1 head shredded lettuce (washed and drained)

2 whole chopped tomatoes

1 16 oz. carton sour cream

1 can chopped or siced black olives (optional)

1 small onion chopped (optional)

2 8 oz. pkgs. shredded cheddar cheese

1 large jar chunky salsa (medium)

1 jar taco sauce

1 aluminum or disposable pizza pan (this works the best to get all the layers on your chip)

1 bag taco strips or chips

Spread your pizza pan w/the seasoned cream cheese mixture to the edges. Then layer the following ingredients in this order: seasoned beef, salsa, lettuce, tomato, onions, olives, sour cream, drizzle taco sauce on top of sour cream then add shredded cheese. serve w/chips.
