I posted this recipe over on the "Kitchen and Food Talk" forum, but I wanted to post it here just in case someone needs recipe for fudge:
Here's the best Fudge recipe you will ever find. An older lady I worked with right after I got out of college brought this fudge to work around Christmas time and gave the recipe to me. This was 40 years ago... And I've always used this recipe since then... You will love it.. I pour mine in a pan and cut it rather than dropping it on waxed paper... And I usually triple the recipe...

Evelyn’s Fudge
·2 ½ cups granulated sugar
·1 stick margarine (room temp)
·6 oz. canned milk (evaporated)
·6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
·1 cup pecans or other nuts
·1 tsp. vanilla flavoring (no imitation)
Chop nuts & set aside. Mix sugar, margarine & milk together in a heavy sauce pan & bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low & cook 6 more minutes, stirring frequently. Remove from heat & add chocolate chips & chopped nuts. Then quickly add vanilla flavoring. Drop fudge on a wax paper with a teaspoon. Let cool & store in airtight container. **Tip - Mix soft margarine & sugar together before adding milk & add more nuts.
