Served this easy dish at a large party last Christmas and it went over well.  Recipe originated with Publix grocery.......once I sampled some given out at the store , I thought it was a winner.  And it was. 

Even I couldn't mess it up!! Guests served themselves to the meatballs cooked and kept warm in a large enameled cast iron braising pan, and the potatoes kept warm in a slow cooker.. 

The sauce is really good as gravy for the potatoes.

Used frozen Cooked Perfect meatballs, Angus Beef type.

Used pre-made refrigerated mashed potatoes, available in several different brands at most grocery stores.

This recipe reminds me of Shepherd's Pie, which I'm preparing tomorrow night for dinner.

I serve this with rice and it is a favorite of the family.  I will try mashed potatoes next time.  Thanks.

I love Publix recipes.  Every time I shop there I sample whichever recipe they are promoting for the week.  Have several that I fix on a regular basis.  This one looks delicious.
