For the Jack's Peach bake beans above, you can adjust or omit the spices and bbq sauce and use your preferred spices instead, omitting the 1/2 cup BBQ sauce won't make a difference in the recipe.

This is my Grandma's recipe that I make to enjoy with barbecued ribs:
1 lb dried navy beans
1 tbsp baking soda
6 oz chopped bacon
1 yellow onion, chopped
4 tbsp dark brown sugar
5 tbsp molasses
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
4 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 tsp cider vinegar
Bring 3 quarts water, beans, and baking soda to a boil in a big pot. Reduce heat to medium-high and cook at a strong simmer for 20 minutes. Drain, rinse and set aside in strainer.
Heat same pot over medium heat and brown chopped bacon, stirring occasionally. Stir in onion until soft. Drain off bacon grease. Stir in 3 cups water, beans, sugar, 4 tbsp molasses, Worcestershire sauce, 3 tsp mustard, vinegar, salt, and pepper and bring to boil. Cover and bake in 350 degree oven for 1 1/2 hours.
Remove lid and bake for 30 more minutes. Stir in 1 tbsp molasses and 1 tsp mustard.

I use a couple of cans of Van Camp's baked beans, Drain 1/2 of the cans lightlly, add a large squirt of mustard, a squirt or two of catsup, and about 1/4 box brown sugar. Lastly I add about 1/3 c real bacon bits. Stir in a sprayed 9 x 13 and bake covered for about 45 minutes on 350 degrees.
Baked beans are easy and have only a few ingredients in common.
You'll be fine!

1 lb dried white beans. I use navy or northern.
Put beans in the instant pot with 8 cups of water. Pressure cook for one hour.
Drain the beans and save the water. In 4 cups of reserved water mix one cup ketchup, a few good sized squirts of mustard 1 cup of brown sugar and a splash of vinegar.
Mix beans, liquid, chopped onion and raw chopped bacon together in a casserole dish. Bake at 350 for about 3 hours.
