I'm cooking mine today, and my son (an expert at cooking rib roasts) sent me the link shown below

He highly recommends also looking at the dry/wet rub recipes on that website, especially his favorite, Mrs. O'Leary's Cow Crust. I've had it several times and can vouch for its excellence!

We have made plenty of prime rib. They always turn out yummy. Those in the pic at that link are a little to pink for me. We like it med rare to med. We take off the smoker at 140°. I like the pic of the 2 dogs. Looks like the one behind is thinking no that's mine not yours. LOL!!!
