I am assembling a lasagna to be eaten in 3 weeks. Going to freeze it, but am wondering if I should bake it first, then freeze, and reheat , or just assemble and freeze, and bake it entirely in 3 weeks. Anyone have suggestions? Thanks.

@nanny24 I have bought them both ways...usually uncooked but I think freezing lasagna adds water to it and fresh is best.I guess I am no help on this but hope someone else can answer.

I usually do not bake mine first. I assemble and then freeze.

I have been wondering the same. Thanks for your replies.
Also, do you have to thaw first or do you bake fozen? how long?

I bake mine first then freeze. I usually let it thaw a bit before reheating.

I assemble, freeze, and put in the refrigerator the night before I'm going to bake it.

I do not have a clue.
BUT my husband always says my lasagna is always better the day after I serve it. I have always been tempted to cook it the day before I serve it. And let the flavors age or whatever they do.
So I was thinking if you cooked it before you froze it, the flavors would blend together. But believe me - there is nothing to back up that statement.

Thank you all for your input. Decided to bake it, freeze it, and reheat it. I don't think I could go wrong either way! Good day to all!
