Re: AdoreQVC - thinking of you

Hello Dear bigsister,

As I mentioned to Jules something told me to log on one last time before I pull the pc plug from the outlet.

I am so glad I did so I did not miss reading your post and the post Jules also left on this and my other thread.

I to am so glad we met bigsister. You know just knowing people like you, Jules, and so many kind hearted other QVC treasured friends truly make life easier to bear.

As we all know from personal experience life sometimes is really tough and we bleed and cry in despair and longing for what was. Now I know that is a normal part of the grief journey we all eventually must endure.

I wish I could have had taste and smell o'vision so all my treasured QVC pals could join my Easter Celebration.

Lamb and veal are two very favorite cuts of meat Greeks and many other Europeans also enjoy. My travels and sampling of other cuisines are proof of that. For us there is nothing more comforting than preparing these dishes and enjoying them with those we love, or eating them in other countries and enjoying them with new friends.

I believe food is associated with love of life, friends and family.

When I return from abroad again I will continue to post bigsister, so until then stay safe, be well, prosper, and please remember you and many others will always remain in my daily thoughts, prayers, and blessings.

God Bless....

adore, thank you so much for posting to let us know how you are. That was really good news. Enjoy your travels. You are a gracious lady and I am glad that you and I have "met."

Though my ancestry is Irish and not Greek, we celebrated special holidays with a roasted leg of lamp. To this day it is very special to me and we all loved it. My mom would do all the cooking and we lived in a one bedroom apt. (5 of us), but she would serve a holiday dinner to as many as 20 people. She just made everything work and come together. I have wonderful memories of my childhood and a leg of lamb.

Happy journeys.

bigsister, I am English/Scottish, my mother was English so we often had lamb for holiday suppers. Your mom sounds like she was an awesome lady, and those are wonderful memories to cherish. I have no Greek in me (that I am aware of) Smile but I do love that cuisine. Something tells me that we would have a wonderful time dining with Adore. Good food and good people make life worth living. I'm looking forward to hearing about Adore's adventures.

Hi, Jules, what a nice post---thank you. My mother was an extraordinary woman who had a relatively hard life and never complained. She lived for her children, period. I'm sure we would have a lovely time dining with Adore. I'll prepare the lamb and expect you at 7. Gosh, I hope it's not too long before we hear from Adore again. She's really a special lady!
