In coordination with the 2026 US Open, Morgan Riddle has partnered with 7UP to help launch 7UP Lime Lemon, a lime-forward reformulation of the original drink, with their Lululime campaign.
"I grew up drinking 7UP, as I'm sure many people did. My mom actually never let me drink pop growing up, except for 7UP," the Minnesota native explained. "In past years, I feel like something that I've made a brand around tennis is doing fun, kitschy things, usually through my outfits."
7UP is updating its packaging and debuting a new formation and recipe to emphasize its lemon lime roots.
Alongside the new recipe, the other parts of the 7UP lineup, including 7UP Regular, 7UP Zero Sugar, Cherry 7UP and Cherry 7UP Zero Sugar will also debut a “refreshed visual identity, featuring a vertical logo, bolder colors, a more distinctive design and a new Lime Lemon designation”. They will also debut a campaign called “Flip the Sip,” a with social media and in-store events.
In a press release, Drew Panayiotou, chief marketing and innovation officer at Keurig Dr Pepper, said, “7UP has an incredible legacy, but by giving lime the spotlight, we’re rewriting the rules of the lemon lime category. We are transforming a beloved heritage brand into a modern disruptor—delivering a sharper visual identity, a more refreshing taste experience, and a distinct position that attracts new users and deepens brand loyalty.”

This 7up ad suggests 7up and chocolate ice cream, orange ice, or lime sherbet as delicious combinations. There are dozens of combinations suggested in ads and recipes and since 7up has a pretty mild taste there really are a lot of options. The most common is a very simple version of a 7up ice cream float made with vanilla ice cream and topped with a cherry.
These are some other combinations you can try.

Make a simple 7UP ice cream float to enjoy on a warm day with friends!

A childhood memory, my dad would make these on Saturday nights for a treat. 😋

When it was first formulated in 1929, it contained Lithium citrate, a mood stabalizer. In 1948 it was completely removed.

And of course Coca Cola originally contained coca leaf extract. Why oh why do they have to ruin everything?!

We only drank 7Up when we were sick that and ginger ale.
I still equate it with illness. I think most people do.

I haven't had 7 up in years. I do love lemon lime and ginger ale. Yes, mom gave us flat ginger ale or 7up when we had upset stomachs as kids. Love an icy cold ginger ale. We would use 7 up with sherbet for floats. I preferred that over ice cream.

Has anyone tried the new Lime Lemon version. Wondering if you can tell a different from the original and which tastes better?

We always kept bottled Coca Cola and Sprite in the house for drinking and floats. The 7-up was bought only if one of us three children were ill.
