Re: 2 Ingredient Cakes - Anyone have recipes to share?

I make the pumpkin/spice cake one too and I love it. I saw on another site you can add chocolate chips and make cookies instead--they are even better! The other cake that is really good is white cake mix with a can of crushed pineapple..doesn't even last a day in my house.

Angel food cake mix plus a large can of crushed pineapple. Dump the pineapple, juice and all, into the mix, stir and bake. No greasing the pan please. It's angelfood!

I use a 9x13 glass pan, but I know friends who do this cake in a tube pan. Follow baking temps and times on the box depending upon the pan you use.

Cake in a mug,,even easier than previous poster.

Any cake mix... 4 tablespoons of cake mix

3-4 tablespoons of water, yep, thats right, water..

No oil needed.. The water makes it very moist and fluffy..

Then I just take hot fudge and use that to top it off...

Can't get any easier than that!

You can also get the cake mix that has pudding in it.

How true --- cake mix has a bunch of ingredients!!! But, I guess what I meant was 2 ingredients that you mix together!!! Or 2 steps perhaps? In any event, I wanted something easier, less fat, cholesterol, and easy!

Thanks so much for these additional recipes and tips. I really like the sound of the angel food and pineapple one! Mmmm. Can't wait to try.

Those of you who haven't tried the spice cake and pumpkin one --- please do --- it's just wonderful. You can top with a little whipped creme if you like, but its yummy all on its own!

These are not two ingredient cakes. A cake mix has many ingredients. You just do not have to haul them out of your pantry.

But you knew what she was asking, right?

I love the triple chocolate cake mix with one can of pumpkin. You can't taste the pumpkin at all.

I also love carrot cake mix with one can of pumpkin. It tastes just like pumpkin pie only it's a cake. I put lite cool whip on top instead of frosting.

I have never tasted a decent two-ingredient cake. The ones made with soda are totally disgusting.

Cakes need eggs. Cakes made without eggs taste like bath sponge, not sponge cake. I once made a batch of cake mix + soda muffins, and took them to work. People said they were good, but I thought they were tasteless. Maybe slathering them with frosting makes them less bland?

The can of pumpkin with the cake mix makes a wonderful moist cake. I love it.
